Texas City ISD has named Megan Willis as the campus’s new principal beginning July 1.

Texas City ISD has named Megan Willis as the new principal of Blocker Middle School effective July 1.

Willis brings 17 years of experience in education to the position. She began her career as an elementary teacher and later served in instructional leadership roles as an instructional specialist. For the past four years, she has served as assistant principal at Blocker Middle School.

“We are excited to have Ms. Willis continue serving the Blocker Middle School community in this new leadership role,” said TCISD Superintendent Dr. Melissa Duarte. “Her experience on the campus, commitment to students and relationships with staff and families make her a great fit to lead Blocker into the future.”

Willis earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy studies from The University of Texas at Arlington.

She succeeds Debbie Fuller, who has accepted a director position at Texas City ISD central administration.
